OUR STORY

Creativity lives here.

At the Free Range Art Studio, we help people of all ages discover the joy of making - painting, building, sculpting, and imagining in ways they never thought possible. Even those who swear they’re “not artistic” soon realize creativity is simply a new way of seeing the world.

From kids’ art classes and teen nights to homeschool enrichment and adult workshops, every experience at the Free Range Art Studio is welcoming, beginner-friendly, and full of possibility.  â€‹No matter your age or experience level, our artists will show you new techniques and art projects that are creatively empowering.

The artists behind our studio create unique multi-step art workshops and art experiences, offering participants the chance to explore art in the world around them in new and diverse ways.  On any given day, the studio is filled with art exploration: hammering wood, connecting metal, sculpting polymer clay, blending watercolors, working with wool, using feather quills with inks, printing with gel plates, and using lots and lots of paint!

Free Range Art is located in Thornton, PA, in the "Carriage House Collective" behind the Mill Offices on Brinton Lake Road.

TESTIMONIAL TO NATURE & ANIMALS

We love animals.

The psychological benefits are numerous!  From infancy through to our golden years, we're all capable of reaping the benefits of animals.  Whether you are interacting with a beloved pet in your home or an outdoor farm animal, the benefits are countless.

As humans, we need social interaction, stimulation, and physical contact.   Animals provide a healthy perspective and balance of unconditional love and acceptance.  On occasion, our art workshops include animals. We invite special educators to our location to teach our students about these animals and their behaviors, history, adaptations, and habitats.  We like to bring art experiences like this to our studio so that the students' creativity can be awakened, and there is so much to learn from seeing animals and wildlife up close!
