"Re-imagine your Jewelry"! Free Adult Workshop! Thursday, April 24th 6:30 pm
Repurpose your jewelry! Re-imagine old, broken pieces into something new!
Bring your existing jewelry pieces and remnants and we’ll provide ideas, tools, and instruction to empower you to make new pieces. This is the perfect opportunity to remake old or broken jewelry into something new and fabulous. We will provide additional chain, jump rings, beading posts, head pins, and random vintage and antique jewelry for you to use. We have tons of plyers, wire cutters, and can help with cold connections. We will not be soldering or using heat to connect metals, however.
Bring lots of jewelry to play with… old chains, lonely earrings, broken bracelets, loose beads. We cannot guarantee that your jewelry is suitable for repurposing but we will do our best. Ideas, tools, and instruction included!
This workshop is led by Tracy Taylor, owner/artist of the Free Range Art Studio. Tracy has a degree in Fashion Design, has sold designs for manufacturing, owned an award-winning retail boutique and was a buyer of handcrafted jewelry from around the world. Her true love has been re-making antique and vintage (non-precious) jewelry for over 25+ years. Consider this an invitation to pull up a chair at the table and have FUN with jewelry that you thought you'd never wear!
This is an adult workshop but students ages 16+ are welcome to attend with an adult. We are a byo facility and you are welcome to bring food/drink.
